Joseph Priestley District
The Joseph Priestley District (JPD) has set aside a scholarship fund that will match the grant that the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) will provide to qualified recipients applying for assistance to go to the General Assembly. The UUA will give up to $250 along with free registration for the General Assembly (GA) for ministers or members who will be representing their congregation. The scholarship matches a pledge made by the congregation for that person's use in traveling to and attending the GA. See the procedure for apply at: http://www.uua.org/ga/registration/financialaid/15005.shtml.
To obtain the JPD grant, the individual needs to provide proof of receiving the UUA scholarship for GA. The JPD will match the amount granted by the UUA up to $250. An individual could receive up to $750 from the UUA, JPD, and their congregation to assist in going to GA. This fund is limited and grants will be suspended when the total set aside is exhausted.
